Khruangbin have just released the first single from their upcoming album, “Mordechai”.
“Time (You and I)” is pure disco funk, but in a Khruangbin way. The track also features probably their most vocal work to date, since most of the bands’ prior tracks are predominately instrumental. Lyrically though, it is still minimal.
The music video is just as quirky as their 2018 release for “Evan Finds The Third Room“, in which a senior citizen dances with an invisible hula hoop!
Directed by Felix Heyes & Josh R.R. King, the video stars British stand-up comedian Stephen K Amos, whose adventure into making the perfect miniature sand castle in a rainy London is just as mesmerizing as the song itself…
The album, “Mordechai” is due to be released on June 26, 2020, on all platforms, via Dead Oceans.
