The five piece originally started out with a different line-up straight out of high school, initially releasing two EP’s under their original name “The Jakes”. Those early recordings were solid and garnered them attention from listeners, but it was a chance meeting at a performance at the Viper Room in Los Angeles that took them in a whole new direction.
