Welcome to our weekly podcast “Roots to Grooves”.
Each episode explores the music, life and careers of musical artists from their earliest beginnings through to their most recent releases.
On this episode Jay and Jesse discuss the career and creative approaches of psychedelic Chicago rock band “Post Animal”.
With four full length albums under their belt, this five piece outfit from Chicago have at times been described as a mix between Tame Impala, Black Sabbath and Pink Floyd. They have also had their ups and downs in the music industry, including going independent again after a number of years signed to Chicago label Polyvinyl, as well as loosing one of their founding band members Joe Keery (aka Steve Harrington from “Stranger Things”).
Although still relatively underground, this band persists, along with a back catalogue of amazing psych tunes that will definitely take you off into another world.
Join Jay and Jesse as they dive into the music, history and creative approaches of “Post Animal”.
