Welcome to our weekly podcast “Roots to Grooves”.
Each episode explores the music, life and careers of musical artists from their earliest beginnings through to their most recent releases.
This week musicians Jay Purcell and Jesse Quigley discuss King Krule.
King Krule is Archie Marshall – an English musician, songwriter and record producer, credited with creating the ‘bluewave’ genre. Inspired by disparate artists ranging from Elvis Presley to the Pixies, Archie experiments with elements of jazz, post punk, and hip hop, with lyrics exploring his experiences with sex, agression, and conflict.
