On this episode Jay and Jesse discuss the career and creative approaches of American rock band “Deerhunter“.
“Deerhunter” are an American rock band from Atlanta, Georgia, originally formed in 2001 by frontman Bradford Cox (vocals, guitar, keyboards) and drummer Moses Archuleta.
Bradford prefers an organic approach to writing and recording, which means he favors a sound that doesn’t sound too planned or orchestrated. This was most evident in their early releases where a punk rock, lofi garage sound fused with meandering arrangements and repetitive rhythms. But throughout the years the band have honed their craft, pumping out numerous albums as well as a few EP’s that they would regularly give out to fans at the their shows.
